The Dragon
I ran and I ran into the cold air,
Through the trees and the demon’s lair,
My heart pounded against my chest,
This must be an impossible test!
The sky was a navy blue,
My hands felt like sticky glue,
The darkness seemed to blind me,
All hope was lost, even my glee,
I came across a large tower,
Standing up with much power,
Moss covered the large oak door,
A thousand trees around or more,
The moon cast an eerie glow,
Like light that seemed to strangely flow,
Over the tower, that made a good shade,
I felt the terror like a frightening blade,
Just where was I and why?
Would I be harmed or would I die?
I yanked open the door and went inside,
I could hardly believe my surprised eyes,
When I saw the creatures,
With amazing features,
A narrow, slender body, like a snake,
I knew the risk I was about to take,
Scarlet patches covered the green scales,
Of the two dragon males,
Except the strangely blue head,
What shivered in its massive bed,
Suddenly, one opened a mauve eye,
That was filled with anger and surprise,
It roared and spat orange fire,
Its skin feeling like a car tyre,
Its spiked tail swung at me,
For it, I must’ve been his tea,
How to defend myself? I thought,
Not a weapon, nor anything I caught,
I realised a sword chained on my neck,
The dragon looked an absolute wreck,
I clasped the sword and swung around madly,
The dragon dodged it, I was thinking badly,
All of a sudden, I heard a terrible snap,
As the sword came back to my lap,
On the floor, in a puddle of blood,
I saw a terrible sight dumped in the mud,
A dragon’s head, cut from its gruesome body,
Its eye unblinking on ground so shoddy,
I had killed the demented beast,
That sought to make me into its feast.
wow thats a lot of work who ever wrote that must be tiered!
